the end of an affair
I watched your assumed strength ebb away…/with contemplation…/of our new difficult affection…/..I watched you waste away…/victim of your daytime terrors…/nightfall fears../long dried tears…/you…allowed your wounds…/to…bleed into our safe place…/and what was once…pleasant promise…became…dust/pale ugly ending to…/rainbow rising…/pure magic… (sad chuckle)…how unbelievably tragic…./because you see…for some reason…ignoring past monsoon season…/I chose to believe in you…/and…now with shrug…/my eyes fixated on ladybug adorning attic window…/I look down at…pain dotted landscape…/and vow to love another love….another day.
Windman coming
Silent sigh through tea tree leaves/I… smell your coming…/like rainy season laden breeze…/monsoon laden trees…/I feel the weight of your impending presence…/torture my senses to… life…/and in anticipation of tight cocoon of ancient affection…/I whisper with the voice of Gabriel…/”..ride with wind of the west…and…bring me gold, frankincense and myrrh…from horn of francophone Africa...from bitter Botswana and rich Rwanda /and… for the time-space you are here…/let us live as kings”...
Joy
Pithy sensation at pit of your feet/u walk on air/that you feel flowing among toes/teasing through fingers/toying with hair/whistling through teeth/till forced apart into laughter/separated in song from/ deep within belly and chest and from lily lips/your eyes search for the source of this mirth/and you look again/at your reflection in the mirror.
