Dark Dots

We walk down the halls/ghosts/ yet painfully seeing our own invisibility/
Dark dots/before their irises/but once their eyes clear/ the dark dots disappear/
Sometimes they apologetically snarl/ when an unfamiliar smell wafts by/
Embarrassed to feel the scent/gently try to scrub the smell from their minds/
Gently bcos /the stain remains for a short time as always/
And we become invisible again/we alone seeing our own painful invisibility/.

Song for Sosoliso (do you....reeeemem..ber...them?)

A flash of light/ and lights go off/
Slight of hand/and the fingers close their eyes/
The sigh of a child/ of all the children/
Feather light touch/of their souls on mother’s cheeks
The late hour/ is crying tomorrow’s tears
Naked breeze/ fan the clouds/
And weep for Sosoliso’s children/
